Encouraging scientific creativity and innovation through hands-on workshops
We created an engaging and challenging hands-on workshop for BASF – Middle East group that looked at the science of heat transfer and use of materials to build cooler desert homes. Alongside this, KCA London trained the presentation team.
The workshop was developed for students in Dubai aged 13-18 and delivered as part of the DEWA 2018 Solar Decathlon in Dubai.
The workshop challenged students to creatively apply their understanding of scientific principles and experimentally test a variety of materials to reduce heat transfer in a model home. The workshop was developed to provide an engaging and creative visitor experience that aligned with the BASF STEM education agenda.
