KCA London was commissioned to provide an integrated and bespoke training programme for staff at the Esplora Interactive Science Centre. The training packages ranged from visitor services and delivery to marketing and operations, and were designed to help staff lift performance, enhance Esplora’s visitor offer and promote enduring connections with audiences.

As a relatively new institution and the first science centre in Malta, Esplora is committed to expanding and improving its activities and finding new ways to incorporate world-class best practice. Applying our extensive experience in staff training, operations and visitor-led experiences, we provided Esplora staff with refresher training to rejuvenate the team’s performance in line with their ambitious aspirations.

We worked closely with Esplora’s senior management team for eight months, providing mentorship on best practice in museum and science centre operations and performance. As part of this, we brought together a team of international experts to carry out a full operational audit, assessing staff performance and determining areas to be enriched. We also helped the team formalise performance indicators and identify the centre’s long-term strategic goals and ambitions.

This was a second major project for Esplora. Our relationship with the science centre started in 2012 when we worked with their novice team to provide them with the skills needed to develop and open the centre.

At the 2025 Malta Tourism Awards Esplora placed first for Tourism Employee Upskilling and Nurturing

Right from the start, KCA London impressed us with their exceptional efficiency and professional manner.
