Project description:

We were commissioned to develop the masterplan and concept designs for The Great Adventure, the main children’s gallery at the new Jiangxi Science and Technology Museum.

The gallery draws on children’s natural curiosity and imagination to encourage play-led exploration and discovery. It consists of several distinct, highly interactive and immersive Lands, each themed around a different societal theme, with a special focus on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. The gallery also includes a dedicated under-5’s play area and several themed programming spaces. 

We developed the core narrative and the concept designs for the gallery, exhibits and programming spaces. Throughout, we worked closely with our local partners and local cultural consultants to help us create spaces and stories that would be relevant to local audiences.
