Revealing the secrets of plants

Wakehurst is a wild botanic garden in West Sussex spanning over 500 acres.

We developed and designed Secret Structures, an exhibition exploring the unusual, secret and curious sides of plants in the gardens., including oak trees, walnuts and orchids.

We developed multimedia displays for the exhibition, including text, graphics, objects and  interactive tables that peeled back layers of a scanned Brazil nut and orchid to reveal their intricate innards. An excavated ancient oak tree was suspended to reveal the complexity of its ordinarily hidden root system.

The exhibition’s opening was featured on BBC South East.
