Project description:
In 2012, the Malta Council for Science and Technology started the process to design, build and open Malta’s first science centre. We were commissioned to train the newly appointed managerial team and provide them with the skills they would need to develop and operate the centre.
Our six-month training programme included bespoke courses in science communication, exhibition development, text development and practical science centre management. It incorporated a range of training approaches to help build the team’s knowledge, establish a positive working culture and build confidence in the practical application of skills. The Esplora Interactive Science Centre opened to the public in 2016, and we continued to work closely with the team on training and strategy through subsequent projects.
