We were appointed to recruit and train the new mediator team at the Louvre Abu Dhabi. The mediators are the public face of the museum, delivering tours and educational activities to visitors and guests. Our recruitment and initial training of the team was completed in just 12 weeks. During that time we received over 500 applications, interviewed 117 candidates and recruited 30 talented mediators from the UAE and beyond. We then provided training in topics such as museology, art history, learning in museums, presentation skills and visitor management. We also helped the team build up a detailed understanding of the Louvre Abu Dhabi’s development, architecture and artworks, and worked with them to develop their initial tours and programmes.
