We were appointed by MCST to help masterplan the expansion of Esplora, their existing science centre, to include a new, world-class, natural history museum – Esploranatura. This involved exploring how Esploranatura would integrate with Esplora physically and operationally, and resulted in the development of a concept for a new multi-destination campus that would encompass both of the destinations and MCST’s own headquarters.
Alongside this we worked with the MCST and Esplora teams to develop the vision and an interpretation plan for the natural history museum itself. We also helped define an architect selection process and developed the initial architectural brief for the museum.
